JEFF DEVRIES

President

As President of Allegiant Utility Services, Jeff DeVries offers more than 20 years of experience in serving Utilities across electric, water, and gas technologies. Jeff’s commitment and focus are providing the highest levels of service and quality to Allegiant’s customers.

Jeff is a seasoned executive professional in the utility industry with a proven track record in partnering with AMI and Smart Grid customers across North America. Over the course of his career, he has led strategic service delivery to Colorado Springs Utility, Austin Energy, Central Georgia, Hamilton Electric Cooperative, Prentiss County EPA, Oncor Electric Deliver Company, AEP Texas, Xcel Energy; just to name a few.

Throughout Jeff’s career, he has worked side by side with Utilities to service all aspects of their operations. From field operations to data management, Jeff offers a unique understanding of Utility’s business model and challenges. Working for the market leader in Smart Grid Solution, Landis+Gyr, Jeff held numerous leadership roles. As Director of Regional Operation, he oversaw both fiscal and operational aspects in partnering with their customers. In his role of Director for Customer Operations, he was responsible for over 15 million meter reads daily across Electric, Water, and Gas Utilities. His group provided real-time services for call center, product support, data center management and more.

Along with Jeff’s extensive experience in the Utility industry, he holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management and a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Development.

Through Jeff’s innovative leadership, passion for building partnerships and dedication to the community’s served by Utilities, Allegiant’s offerings for services and products continue delivering strong results that directly benefit their customers.

MARK KODET

Chief Operating Officer

Mark’s thoughtful and dynamic leadership yield tremendous value to the customer his teams serve.

With over 36 years of Electrical Engineering within the Utility sector, he brings both a pragmatic and service orientated approach in leading the field operations across the United States. With 15 years of dedicated leadership in working with AMI and Smart Meter deployments, he offers innovative service solutions across technologies, customer service and program management for utilities of all types and size. Numerous Smart Meter deployments have benefited from Mark’s leadership and expertise; Fortis Alberta, Minnesota Power, Tri County Electric Cooperative and South Plains Electric Cooperative amongst numerous others.

He has worked for Calamp, Landis+Gyr, Cellnet, Hunt Technologies and Itron.

Over the course of Mark’s career, he has become a knowledgeable expert in Telematics and Communication technologies that serve the Utility, Transportation, Construction & Mining, Fleet Management and Telecommunications industries. Mark holds a Patent in Radio Frequency for Smart Grid technology. He held certification in program and project management discipline and has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.

JOHN MOBERG

Chief Technology Officer

John Moberg is a visual mathematician who takes a methodic and calculated approach as Allegiant’s Chief Technology Officer.

He has over 25 years’ experience as an Executive leader and entrepreneur in business, operations, finance, leadership, technology strategy, customer experience, e-commerce and analytics.

John is a technology-oriented leader who has successfully blended technology and business needs with clients such as UnitedHealthcare, Best Buy, Geek Squad, 3M, Royal Bank of Canada, Intel, Jamba Juice and Caribou Coffee.

His most recent endeavor directly benefits the Utility industry. As founder of Conductive Digital, he led the development and release of Peak Workflow, a modern work order management platform for Smart Grid field deployment and data management across water, gas, and electric markets.

He holds certifications in Finance, Marketing and Information Technology as well as degrees in Design and Computer Science.

REBECCA LORENTZ

Vice President of Administration

Rebecca has 20 years of experience working with Utilities across the United States and Internationally. She brings a multi-faceted, strategic approach to her role at Allegiant where she is responsible for Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Training Programs, Fleet Management and Risk/Compliance.

Rebecca’s leadership spans numerous business units and industries including manufacturing, solutions, services and software. She has led transformational results within Customer Success, Marketing, Risk Management, Finance, Program Management, Training and Customer Development.

As most of Rebecca’s career has been within the Utility industry, she has developed intimate knowledge of Utility operations and Smart Grid Technology systems. From program and risk management to fiscal operational controls, she has industry specific expertise that yields success in serving the broader energy sector.

Rebecca holds a Master’s in Business Administration with Financial emphasis, an undergraduate degree in Risk Management/Insurance, a specialized degree in Risk Management and has been certified in Program Management for over 10 years.

CHARLIE ESTES

Director of Sales, Southwest Region

In the role of Director of Operations, Charlie is a resilient leader of daily operations that services our customer as the single most valuable asset to Allegiant.

Charlie has more than 12 years working directly with some of the nation’s leading electric utilities. He oversees critical operations for Meter Shop Services, Field Meter Site and Testing division. Working side by side with Utilities, he understands the criticality of safety and quality in serving our customers. Under his direction, his teams achieve the highest standards and exceptional results.

As a small business owner, Charlie developed a service offering to Utilities for photo verification related to field meter changeouts.

Over the course of his career, Charlie has been an integrated project team partner on AMI and Smart Meter deployments and led critical initiatives for both Electric and Water utilities throughout North America. He has extensive experience in program management principles and over 10 years of direct program and project risk management experience.

BOB NIES

Director of Operations

Bob Nies is a quality professional with a passion for world class product performance and reliability. Using his background in electrical engineering and his experience in leadership, he bridges the common gaps between technical, management, and customer needs. 

Bob has spent the last 23 years working for Landis+Gyr where he provided instrumental support for both Rural Electric Cooperatives, Investor Owned Utilities and quality assurance for both domestic and worldwide utilities. Through his leadership, utilities across the U.S. including Oncor, AEP, Hydro Quebec, Ameren, Xcel Energy, Salt River Project, Crow Wing Power and many other REC’s, benefited from his quality assurance mindset. He believes quality is a win-win-win for the customer, the company, and the employees. 

Along with Bob’s extensive industry experience, he holds a degree in Electrical Engineering.
